I was going to spare this one, but if you write "One very similar to this recently sold at Mecum for $225K", you're begging for it, so here we go:

Porsche : 911 RSR Slantnose DP Motorsports

^^^

According to the listing the car is "Fast" to the point of requiring one be a "good driver" to handle it; guess that's due to the body kit or does the additional .3l of displacement equal "kick ass" power on tap ?!?!?!

^^^ Plus judging by the angles that show the front end, it appears to have to two-tone option ...

Right, that option is worth a couple a hunned horsepower right there! Couple that with the "space man" K-Jet airbox top, and the need for the double umbrellas pictured in the rear cabin pic becomes apparent - a real possibility of both shatting and pizzing oneself when the go pedal is pressed!

Too bad the lettering on the cards doesn't read "2.7L Non-Turbo GT2" - a rare, Special Wishes option back in the 1970s!

OUCH, he isn't a friend of mine, fact, the 1st time I saw the car in person, at a pawn shop (I like to check them for tools & old BMX stuff) I was laughing my a$$ off while pointing at it when I guess he owned it, walked up and climbed in, course I was driving my Carrera that day.

Gotta love the thorough and detailed description in the listing, and the mileage just has to be true, too!

Funny how someone asked a question noting that the pictures appear to be a 993, so what car is actually for sale (since nothing about that in the description).
