Need help valuing my interior...

I want to list this stuff for sale, but don't even know where to start on pricing it.

This is most of the interior out of my 1968 912. It has been updated at some point obviously, I have a receipt for the interior work and it was done about 5 years ago if I recall correctly.

I have what is seen in the pictures. Front seats, rear seats, sun visors, door cars and handles, package tray cover and fold over with cross bar, rear side panels, and a plethora of carpet pieces. It's a full carpet set, but it's not in the best condition honestly. Some pieces are in better shape than others. The rest of the small pieces I am keeping to put back in the car (door card tops, dash pieces, etc.)

What can I ask for this stuff? Shipping of course would suck, but if the price is right... it's doable I guess. What say ye pelicans?

figure $1500 for the lot...you may do better piece by piece, but who wants that hassle?

I do not want that hassle. I would sell it for that price immediately.

$1500 is high. I am sure that it cost that much by your receipt, but no way.

The carpet set is not worth much. The seats I'd say $400-$550 if someone was looking for them. If they were looking for them they'd have to buy the whole set to match whatever is currently in their car.

If you were to piece it it would make absolutely no sense. There wouldn't be matching back seats or panels, etc. This has to go as a set so they match as I have no idea what color red that is.

My bet is half that price. My bet would be $750 if you'd want to move it - and thrown in the carpet for free. I seriously doubt anyone would bite at $1500 - though it would still probably be a bargain at this price considering the modern prices it costs to do an interior.

Sure, $1500 if you were getting it done, now today, in the color you want. But you have to find someone who wants that red, not original seats in an old car.

You're way out of touch. Those seats are in fine condition and worth $700-800; and any of the stuff can be easily dyed to black. Have you priced a set of visors? The back seats are nearly perfect. And the carpet just needs cleaning, most of the ratty stuff is adhesive that's covered anyway.

Go ahead and try to find a complete interior for under $2k...

Ask $1500, but take $1250 if you want to move it quick.

No, these are of course not stock 1968 seats. I am located in the Cincinnati Ohio area.

No, shipping it wouldn't be easy or cheap. I imagine it would end up being a couple hundred dollars. Feel free to private message me and make me an offer.

You'd be surprised how easily that carpet will clean up. Get yourself $10 in quarters and go down to the self-serve car wash. (judging by your username, I'm assuming you're familiar with them ). Clamp them onto the wall, soap and rinse, with the wand really close. You'll get soaked, but they'll come really clean.

Honestly, laying these carpets out for a picture was more work than I wanted to do with them, so i'm definitely not gonna take them and clean them. I've had a few porsche friends tell me i was crazy for not trying to sell them, or they would live in a box on a shelf forever.

By the way, my username has to do with my last name Karwath. I've been called carwash since i was 4 years old, i'll never shake it.

Yeah, let's agree to disagree on this one. You're way out of your mind.

1) They are not original colors.
2) That is not original material
3) That is not original patterned material
4) The visors will never match another Porsche-colored interior ever again

Only way someone would want this interior is if they bought the entire matching set - as it won't match another Porsche interior in the entire universe. It's essentially a classic 911 interior the wrong color. And you know how many people around here get upset when a car is painted the wrong color - never mind red.

And red middles? Some people won't care, but $1250? Yeah no.

It's a nice interior for sure. I hope he gets more. I honestly do. Bet he gets $750 or less.
