Value of SC core engine? complete

Good possiblity I'm selling my 79SC as a roller to a friend of mine. I will then have to sell the engine.

What is estimated value of a 79 SC 3.0 engine. ...assume needs studs at minimum

Thanks,
Jay

Thanks! I know what I think it's worth but I aslo think you should be able to buy a decent driving and running SC for 15K... LOL.

I think those days are gone!

Although I agree, a decent driving SC for 15k would be a steal. I wish those days were still around. I also wish 308's were under 20k and 930s were under 30k. Couldn't get either before the market inflated to ridiculous levels. A core early SC engine that needs minimum studs? Maybe 4-6k depending on miles.

I would second the 4K to 6K. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anybody who would pay 7 - 9K for a core SC engine needing a rebuild.
