Ad is not real. I sent him a message asking where the car was located, and received no response.

I also contacted the seller and got no response to my questions. The person who posted it had their location as Texas. I did a search on craigslist in Texas and found a 930 with the same pictures, but with a much higher price. At that point I knew it was a scam and alerted the moderators.

Here is the craiglist ad: https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/6022844399.html which also looks like a scam as the dealership Classic Car Guy has it listed for $165k

Crook was simply hoping to get a deposit, or even the full amount, on a car he didn't own - was playing to peoples' desire to act quickly on a "good deal" (car was priced too cheaply). I don't understand how people fall for banana in the tailpipe stuff like that, butt it happens all the time (even some Pelican members have fallen for scams like this).

Very similar to the emails you get from Nigerian Craigslist scammers.

Here is another one that seems at least $10,000 too cheap.

Red flags

"I've only had the car two months.."

"I'm not sure what the 5 speed came out of.."
