But magically in the first picture the lower part of the deck lid matches the fenders. But now, the part of the deck lid and some of the drivers fender don't match the rest of the fender.

So I would agree what you are seeing is just a shawdow making the color appear off.

Maybe my old eyes...
Aging sure sucks!
But has anyone ever seen "Carrera Turbo" on any other 930? I've only ever seen "Turbo" or "Turbo Carrera".

I've seen it. Mine had it put on that way- but that was because who ever painted it didn't know the correct way to place it. Same in this case I would guess.

In the collector car world porsche is quite high up the ladder.

Itís nothing for a well heeled collector to drop $160,000 or even $300,000 sight unseen for a rare porsche such as this.

Recently Ive been a SPECTATOR in the real estate world of restored french chateaus.. Its nothing for these types to spend 20,30 million for the right chateau..

What saying here is there is a TREMENDOUS amount of world wealth now days. These same well heeled have now added collecting fine european sports cars along with art, real estate, antiquities..

Things have changed a lot in the world of vintage sports cars over the past 10 years and unbelievably over the past 20.

You are stating the obvious other than the craigslist Turbo in question is not an example anyone with half a brain would even drop $120k on site unseen. We are judging a car with 5 pictures and a one sentence description. Have you even looked at the classified? If they can't even get the rear deck badging done correctly imagine the mistakes in the engine.
