Lot of work for a sensor

So I recently started getting a front parking sensor fault on my PTT. I hooked up my iCarSoft reader and it said "Inside Right Sensor failure".

So I got a sensor (from the Lamborghini Dealer - cheaper) and had to get touch up paint from Porsche as it required painting. Got it painted up but it meant removing the whole front bumper (again) to mount and test it.

Got the right sensor in the right place and tested it with success!

Thatís a lot of work for a little sensor, but the stupid warning was driving me crazy.

I know the feeling. Mine had a little sticker on it, and it was causing all kinds of mayhem. I'm going to need to remove the front bumper soon. Anything tricky about it?

Not really Ciaka did a good write up on 6 speed.

I leave the washer line connected and just move the bumper off to the side.

Headlights out
Remove to plastic trip and screws under it
Remove undercarriage front screws
Remove front of fender wheel covers just enough to get at the two screws and undo the running lights
Slide the two knuckle busting slide holders at the headlight to bumper connections
Then slightly pull out the bumper to get at the signal lights and sensor plugs
Then off with it.

It helps to have a helper on the last step and when putting it back on.

Itís a one beer job
