Panamera left me stranded - Again

So I woke up to the PTT sitting down on it's front wheels, I know what that means... It been -35 ish here the last couple days (-31F) and I have had the car connected to my trickle charger since yesterday am. Tried to fire it up, nope, added my booster pack and tried again, nope.

Stupid thing, why don't the Germans believe in block heaters?

I have to move all my meetings for the rest of the week as the temps aren't supposed to get any better until the weekend, and I don't want to risk getting stranded somewhere. Luckily I can work from home but what a pain!

My wife's British car is working fine

Try a dipstick oil heater. Used to travel to Wisconsin for work in the winter and everyone had them.

That's a good idea, can you show me a picture of where the dipstick is on a Panamera?

Temp came up 25 degrees today so I fired her up, starts fine now but it took 3 starts before it slightly raised up the front end. I will check again after the football game, but it’s like it’s in sport plus height.
When I press the raise button, it says Not Allowed.
The shock button shows on screen, but nothing happens.

I’m guessing it needs a good drive and to warm up in a garage for a while.

Great when it works, but a pain when it doesn’t

It will last longer if you know someone with a PIWIS tester. If you tell the car what size battery and type it will charge it at the correct rate for long life.

Got the lithium battery installed over the weekend. I bought the monitor as well which pairs with my phone via BLE so I can see the health of the battery and charging of the system. Only negative is the restart button is hidden by the DC/DC converter, but at least I can use (one of the two) remote to enable it.

As a follow up, I put one in my Cayman as well. It has been down a while as I was changing the alternator, and the battery was dead. I hit the button on the remote and she fired right up! Twice!

Glad I have them
