Stupid door handles

My 2010 Panamera just knows how to annoy me...I’ve had an issue with the door handle on the drivers rear door off and on for a year; the outside handle won’t work. It works fine from the inside, and has easy entry so I thought it was a combo of electrical and mechanical issues.
Now it’s moved to the drivers door, but it only happens some time, I go out to the car, unlock it with the key, but the door won’t open from the outside. Go around the car and unlock it from the inside, drive it, lock it and come back and it works normally for the rest of the day. WTH!
Some days it’s fine no issues for days. My battery is fine too so I know that’s not it.

Does anyone know the mechanicals of these? I spoke to Porsche in the past and they said a replacement was $250 (painted) so that’s not too bad, but seriously, it’s a door handle...

I speaking with a mechanic I know he said they are a b!tch to do as the whole window mechanism has to come out.

Thoughts?
