WTB: R12S front fender

After a "close encounter of the deer kind" I'm in need of a fender. I need parts #1 and #2 in the schematic. Part#1 is the red version from the candy cane paint job. Kevin

Why don't you just order the parts? Looks like they're still available. And not ridiculously expensive ( as compared to the R1100S front fender @ $800 )

Sadly, if you look at REALOEM you'll see that the painted part was discontinued in 2016. The A&S URL part is for a primed fender. You have to do the painting. I got a quote for $150, which brings it up to $400 plus with tax etc.

I'm looking into a C-fiber fender assembly that totals $170.

Unless a fellow Pelican has a red one laying around ...

Thanks anyway. Kevin

Darn. That would have worked. After getting 2 quotes to paint only that front part ($150 and $550!!!), not including the price for the two parts (~$250, unpainted), I looked into C-fiber. Slingshot Racing in San Jose sells a single C-fiber piece that combines the two OEM parts for $169. I just installed it yesterday. Doesn't look too bad, actually, and is WAY cheaper. Thanks for letting me know, though. I appreciate that. Cheers. K^2

Too bad my front fender for sale is black and we could not work out a deal. Sounds like you spent the exact same amount as I was asking for parts #1 and #2 in the image above.

I actually like the look of the exposed carbon fiber parts I have added to my bike. If you add a CF rear hugger it may look balanced with the candy cane paint scheme.

Glad you got the bike back together. Watch out for deer strikes!!!
