R1100RS gas tank
OK friends, for a change I could use some help! I have ridden the R1100RS (and a R75/5) for many years, since I lived in Berlin and got one of the very first ones sold there, and still have one today living in Arizona.
Had some issues with the bike (2nd fuel pump going bad due to our worthless ethanol fuel) and once in there they found that the gas tank had some small cracks, evidently where fasteners mounted, so I need a fuel tank. Anyone have any suggestions for where to find a fuel tank for a 1995 R1100RS? Its part number "16 11 2 313 069" and I believe that the tanks from a 1994-2001 model bike are the same. Thanks!

Thankfully none of my bikes have plastic tanks. What a pain they can be, leaks, warping from ethanol, can't use a magnetic tank bag. They're almost as bad as fiberglass tanks. Remember those on the Nortons, constant leaks even when new, having to coat them inside, doing resin repairs to the outside & still leaking, so much fun.
