New VA mtns Waypoint
Everyone -
I am currently taking a poll to see how many/whom might like to have a place to stay ( for a fee, per night or ?) that is within sight of the Blue Ridge Parkway and also near many great roads to ride. I am in the process of opening a MC resort named "Twisty Bits" and the BRP is what you see from my backyard. I have rooms "to let" as my English friends say and there is not one straight road in any direction from my house. So what say ye? Who is interested in staying in a very Motorcycle-friendly house complete with a MC lift and tools? Email off list or call ( weekends or nights after 9 PM only) 540.557.7085

Alright, I'll be your huckleberry. Need a good vacation when I get back from across the pond. What kind of price range are we looking at? I like your signature, the way life should be and very appropo (sp?) over here. I will post it on my door so we see it every "last" day we walk out.

Prices vary depending on room and extra ( meals, ect.).
Currently I would be working on a "Donation-like basis as I do not have a business license to run a Inn and I may never get one  ).As to details: what can I say, located in the heart of some of the greatest riding in the USA, it is like riding in Austria ... really I have ridden there and this is better because you don't have to fly anywhere, no passport needed, no currency to change .... blah blah blah. Call for more info if this does not get it. And BTW DannyLeo part of my address is Huckleberry. Imagine that?

Sounds great, John. How many rooms available and how many people could you host at one time inside? I assume that you'd have some room on the lawn for a tent or two if a bit larger group was interested, (not talking a rally or anything)?

Lots of great lawn space available for tents, I could even permit a RV or perhaps two? As to inside ... three bedrooms of varying size ( and suggested 'donation'), plus the Sofa sleeper in the Family room is very comfy and has the best view. Also loads of sleeping area on the floor. And for the right price I'd even allow a person to sleep on the Pool Table ---> yes that is right , there is a full-size Pool Table available for Friendly Games. The Master Suite has it's own bathroom/shower and also a great view of the Blue Ridge Mtns.

John,
Expect to hear from me sometime this spring (~ late March). My wife and I rode our BMWs (R1100S and F650GS) from FL. to NC, and the BRP was the highlight of our trip. We went westward, but going the other way into VA this year sounds like a lot of fun. I like what you are doing here, John. I live in Daytona Beach, FL (home of Bike Week + Biketoberfest)....perhaps I should offer a similar service. |
