Temporary Insanity Forces R12S Sale
The bike is in perfect, ride it anywhere, shape and I'm only considering selling due to the purchase of a new Lotus 7 - sorry Porsche and BMW fans
 Details are: The Bike • 2007 BMW R1200S • 17,500 miles as of 8/23/12 • Perfectly clear and clean CA title in hand (no loan) • ABS • Heated Grips • Ohlin front and rear shocks • 6” wide rear wheel • Clear signal lenses (involves lenses, sockets and bulb switch) • Silver (not being black is the only flaw) Condition • Excellent • AARP eligible rider with 45 yrs street licensed experience an 0 accidents (very conservative) • New - 4 months old - Shorai battery (EXTREMELY light) • ~500 miles on rear Pilot Sport • ~5,000 (but great condition) on front Pilot Sport Maintenance • Full 600 mile dealer maintenance performed • Trans and rear end fluid changed again at 6,000 and 15,000 mi (BMW synthetic) • Oil changed at 3,000, 6,000, 9,000, 12,000, 15,000 (Mobile 1 & BMW filter) • K&N air cleaner cleaned @ oil change • Valves checked @ oil change (not much change) • Throttle bodies checked @ oil change (no change after 6,000 mi) • Will perform next oil change for / with new buyer before shipment / ride home Features • “Werner” rear break fix – It really works! I picked up the kit from Werner directly in Germany • HID headlight – very bright • HID high beam – also very bright Extras • Akra TI/CF muffler – purchased new with bike • Remus TI header • Rear Pit Bull stand (uses hub – forward handle) • Front Pit Bull stand – used just once! • BMW tank bag • BMW tail bag • BMW Service CD (Factory, not eBay knock off) • Billet oil filter wrench • Billet coil removal tool (from spark plug) • Bike cover • Probably some other stuff I'm not recalling Location Northern California / SF East Bay (near Berkeley) Price $9,999 w/full TI exhaust and no Extras Buyer has first option on Extras: • Rear Pit Bull stand (uses hub – forward handle) $150 • Front Pit Bull stand – used just once! $150 • BMW tank bag – slightly used $150 • BMW tail bag – virtually new $150 • BMW Service CD (Factory, not eBay knock off) $25 • Billet oil filter wrench $12.50 • Billet coil removal tool (from spark plug) $12.50 “Package Price” for bike and all Extras: $10,349 “Low Cost Option” for bike with stock, non TI exhsust (I need to confirm availability) and no Extras (unless purchased separately): $9,249 The bike is fabulous, e.g. I've ridden 600 miles up the Pacific Coast Highway in one day without issue.
