FS: Variable length torque arm

Cleaning out the garage: I have a brand new, nicely done variable-length adjustable paralever torque arm. Aluminum billet with stainless steel mechanical parts, with a grease fitting for the upper brass bearing.

I purchased this for about $170 but never installed it, and probably won't, so I'm looking to place it somewhere it might do some good. Has a few small marks on the top side (came that way from across the pond) but otherwise is perfect.

$130 shipped in continental USA. I'm in San Diego, CA if you're local.

Still available??

Newbie here. I see these out here and wonder if somebody would describe the efficacy of this part. Some seem adjustable others fixed in a specific length jm

Did my own homework... found a post and some good info for other less informed like myself.

Yes, still available. PM me if you're interested. This is for R1100S or R1100/1150R or RT.

There are a lot of posts on this forum on this subject. Search "GS paralever" for example. To briefly summarize, the stock S/R/RT arm is 385mm center to center, while the GS and BCR (and Preps maybe?) use one that is 365mm; I have one of these, too, if anyone's interested. It raises the rear of an S about an inch, which makes it challenging for the inseam-challenged like myself to get on the bike, alters the lean angle while sitting on the sidestand, and affects use of the centerstand should you have one. It also makes a great improvement in handling. A happy medium for some on the forum was a custom billet arm @ 375mm, but as far as I'm aware, no one is making one at this length for sale, and are as rare used as a Motoyoyo triple clamp.

This one is reportedly adjustable between 340mm to 400mm, so it could be used to actually lower a standard bike slightly. Since it uses standard threading, it does require unbolting one end to make adjustments. I planned to test it progressively to find a seat height I could live with, then bolt it in at that height to probably never change it again.

Thanks for the info. Your words in addition to the link I found fills it in pretty well. I’ll stay stock in this area until I can afford to put some Ohlin’s on er. jm
