BMW Roundel 2004 R11S parting out.

Hey gents, I'm going to be parting this bike out. I bought it because I need the motor and the rear light and the seat. Everything else is going to be for sale like the body panels, wheels,ABS and all the other bits. Bike has 21,xxx mi. It's a 2004 It will take several weeks to start parting out so if anyone needs something let me know. I'm in California.

PM'd

You should check the part number for the rear wheel. I suspect it's a 5.5" wheel which, especially in solid Mandarin, is $$$.

Also possibly of value is a "kit" to add a jump post to 2003-earlier bikes. The '04 starter post and cover have a couple of different parts to allow jumping without removing all the bodywork to access the battery. Or you might want to harvest those parts for yourself...

I know that it's not a 5.5 unfortunately. Luckily I have one on my other bike.

Howdy,
It looks like that bike has the auxiliary socket on the left side, just above the footpeg. I'm interested in that, along with the wiring harness. It plugs in under the seat, near the tool kit location if memory serves.

I'm also interested in the swingarm, including driveshaft, etc., as well as the jumper post that darkonaut mentioned, rear turn signals and perhaps front fender if the prices are right. Let me know when you get to that point.

Thanks!

What's the story with the end cans? They look like stock, but with the outlets removed?

Are you sure you don't want to just put a motor in that bike? That's a pretty bike.

I'll loan you my homemade motor support stand and how I do it...I even have a motor if you are willing to put a black motor in it.

Part it out? A lowdown, dirty shame IMO. Why don't you just buy a motor, rear light and seat if that's what you need for your other project? A California '04 with 21K would be snapped up for $5000.
