2007 R1200S potential part-out interest?

Hi all,

Unfortunately by bike was written off in an accident last week (Im fine).

The bike ended up sliding and getting pinched under the trailer that turned in front of me. Body damage to all panels and the front end is messed up (fork and wheel). I think the full drive train is good though. I thought I would post here to see if there is interest in getting the bike as a donor before i hand it off to insurance.

It is a 2007 with 66000km. No ABS, stock wheel and exhaust. Wilburs suspension. Bar risers.

Sounds like the difference in insurance payout is 3k CDN to keep the bike as salvage.

I can post pictures of the damage if folks are interested.

I am also considering taking the wilburs bits off and re-installing the stock parts. Let me know if this is something interesting for you.

Glad you're OK.

Crashes are just excuses to change colors!

I'd be interested if taking this on didn't mean having to deal with customs

Wow that looks sweet. Unfortunately i have a small house / workspace so I don't think i'll be taking this one on myself (although there is a really big part of me that wants to try).

Any chance you have the stock handle bars and top fork brace? I have LSL riser and brace and want to put it back to factory stock. Original owner didn't keep the original bars. I'm in Ontario as well.
