01 Saab Aero Wagon 2.3l turbo ticking
I was looking at picking up a cheap 01 wagon to haul parts and wheels. I found one but there is a noticeable ticking sound coming from the engine. Any ideas?

I am looking at buying it. Not a daily driver. Just want to keep it running enough to pass inspection and pick up wheels and parts. Bad transmission or blown head gasket? Guy only wants $850 for it.
