I will second the comment to clean the flasher...

I will second the comment to clean the flasher terminals . . also add clean the fuse ends and contacts . . had the same issue with my 72 and this solved the problem.

why get rid of the 123 distributor . . if its set up right it is as good or better than factory. Fix your problem . .don't replace random parts until you get to the right solution.

I have a 72 MFI with the 123 and was having plugs foul . . .I was told on this forum I didn't need to run the CDI box with the 123 . . wrong! . . hooked the CDI back up and solved my fouling plugs...

So after having a struggle with this I still prefer the " measure to the ground" method . . no angles, no charts, very straight forward. And Pete is right . . for every one inch lower to the ground...

Oh and I called John Eisenbud and he says the torsion bars don't wear out . .they may brake but in all his years he has only replaced a couple.

Ok got it .. success! I still don't know why my angles are not to spec but the measure from the floor was the ticket . . .I lowered the spring bar to floor distance by 1.25 " and got about 2" raise...

In order to get that one inch closer to the floor the arm angle is now 39 degrees and I can't get the suspension back together .. . or the bottom bolt in the bushing cover in place .. so worn out...

I decided to try a new technique I read about . . unhook the spring plate and measure distance to floor . . for every one inch you move the spring plate closer to the floor raises the car 2 inches ....

so this is why I didn't get things right the last time . . the rear is too low. I disconnected the spring plate . .measured 28.4 degrees before I disconnected it . . now its loose and it measures 35...

That job is not easy . . so . . make sure you need to do this before you take it on. I replaced mine and in the end it was not needed and a huge pain!
