Yup, I use my Line off the dizzy to run my active spot cat. I took my smog pump goodies off in 2019 (mines a '78) and there was a vacuum line to the port you picture.

You might try unplugging the forward switch and see if this stops the lights. Then maybe just replace the front switch for now. Or go for both, the rear one is not a lot of fun on mine.

Never used anything on my plug and no issues. Change my fluid fairly often (mileage wise and yearly too), and I torque the filler plug to spec.

Kinda like the plugs with/without anti seize, change...
