I don't think there is any magic about Porsche bolts! I bought Porsche exhaust head studs from the dealer about 14 years ago. Would you believe they rusted, again!? Didn't have to have them...

I use a spark plug socket with an extension JB Welded to the socket. This lets me pull the socket from the plug without pulling the extension off. It make the whole process a LOT easier.

Make certain that none of your seals are leaking. You can sometime pinch a seal on the throttle body turbo or up-tubes.

I never put silicone on them, I'd think the temperature is too high. I did however put a light coat of anti-seize on all the metal exhaust gaskets.
