Mounting it up higher level with your high beams would make it much better, assuming it is a "driving beam" and not a "flood."

It should be perfectly acceptable to wire it in with your highs...

I'll add that I also run an Odyssey in my daily driver pickup. It's a full-size battery and overkill, perfect. Unfortunately they don't make one that fits the wife's Cayenne correctly.
