Someone grabbed the cam cover as well.

I grabbed the rear hatch struts for 5 bucks......

Going to look at a 91 - 944 cabriolet this weekend.

115,000 miles.

Anything other than the standard 944 issues I should look for ?

Went from 130 ish to well over 200.

I might have used too much oil as I had a lot of smoke when I started it afterwards,

Does not appear to be coming from either of the temp sensors.

About to tackle head gasket...i think...

Coolant is puddling under the intake manifold between # 1 and 2 cylinders.

About a half a cup over the last 2000 kms...

Internet searches tell me its the head gasket.

before I dig into this...

Exhaust Question...

My Exhaust has a very annoying raspy sound upon start-up but get quieter as the system heats up.

I have been told I need a new muffler but was wondering if it could be a flange gasket.

SO I have seen that fix before, but the thrust washers were installed on either side of the shift rod, and not on both sides of the lever as is shown here.

Is there a preferred install method ?
