I extended the slit openings on the bottom plate so that I could shift the battery closer to the gas tank, leaving more room for the cables.

and while the hand brake makes great sense, I tend to just just give it gas and go ...

Maybe Tony (Boyt911SC) can pipe in about your WUR and how it may affect what your pressure readings should be - my understanding is that your '79 should have a 045 (as my stock '79 does).
