Definitely the ICV. Did not want to open or close when applying voltage to it, until I cycled it a few times. It was slow to operate..... I need a new one.

Maybe on a Turbo, but the NA is pretty manageable. You should look under the hood of an A4...... barely enough room to get on the crank bolt to spin the engine over. Timing belt.... you gotta pull...

You can see one of them close to your thumb.

If you do the output shaft seals definitely do the input also. You could even skit the outputs, since they can be easily done with the tranny installed.
My input shaft seal is just started leaking...

I got a test pipe also...... it's loud. Doesn't feel loud at first, but it wears on you, especially when it's your daily driver. Will be putting a 4 inch wide, cylindrical muffler in there.

Ok, but the crankcase is under a vacuum, from a line to the intake at the top of the air/oil separator. I guess you could just block off that line, and pipe your can to the top of the aos instead.......
