Should be running very rich with those pressures. Your WUR needs seeing to/adjusting. Your SP is a bit low too - first thing would be to bump that up with a shim or two. Get that right then work...

Yes - I finally got an ATV jack too. Makes a world of difference. Not expensive and stores away pretty good. Something to keep in mind for next time :-)

I think Waynes assembly book suggests a wipe of engine oil on the O rings.

I use WD40 - not sure if called same in US. Not as a sealant - as a lube so slips in to place easily. They seem to seal OK on their own - as long as properly seated.

Well that is a possible explanation. But I would not be 100% certain. But assembling without any shims is obviously a stuff-up by the shop.
How much difference 1.5mm would make in spring pressures...
