The original cover o-ring doesn't have a square profile when it is new ;-) But as long as she isn't leaking, rock on. If you have to replace it late, it's a few M6 fasteners. No biggie.

At worst you'll be clearancing 2 case webs, but not as much as for a GT3 pump.
