Also the rotor inside the distributor can act like this if its bad. I had to DIY myself a resistorless rotor. Also once I had the porcelain on the sparkplug crack and it made similar behavior.

IMO. the AIC-1 was pretty nice to dial but with 500rpm steps there were some spikes in AFR. IIRC this log was with the late spoolin hx40 super with the biggest turbinehousing #18. Now I'm with #16...

Also check the rotor on the distributor and spark plugs. I've had both go bad and giving similar trouble. Both also after about 30 min of driving to get heated enough.
