I have nothing else to add, since mine doesn’t run yet, but definitely want to see how well you get knock sensing to work. I’ve read mixed reviews.

If you can get away with one pump for your horsepower level, that's the best way, less failure points. The factory only used two pumps in series to get the pressure high enough for CIS....

True, but the M&W CDI box only needs a trigger and can accept a dwell range of 0.5-1.0ms. All the magic happens in the box. Once triggered, the box sends a high 480V capacitive pulse to the coil.
