I installed LED's in a couple of my 4 tire vehicles and the H/beam of the R1100S.

LED's are bright but they don't seem to project the light...

You say the tires are new but when is the last time you checked the pressure?

Mine was acting squirrelly and the tires were low. Aired them up and the next ride it was acting squirrelyl again....

Thanks for documenting the process. Does the service manual say to oil the clutch cover bolts?

Standard procedure is to not lubricate bolts unless specifically addressed in the manual.

Is there suppose to be friction on the fast idle lever? It's a hassle to hold it in position when I could be using that hand to buckle my helmet or putting on my gloves

I bought mine new and it never liked to idle cold. Usual routine is to stall 2-3 times before it stays running.

Is there a temp sensor for the ECU on these? Otherwise they run pretty lean.

What year bike are you looking at? I think 2001 was a transition years from ABSII and a more powerful servo ABS. Mine is an early bike with ABSII and zero issues with the ABS. Servo brakes are harder...

There's already a filter/sock on the bottom of the fuel pump. Having a filter on the outlet of the fuel pump seems to be protection if the pump grenades. Most cars do not have a replaceable fuel...

When I installed my lines I followed the service manual and installed blocks in place of the brake pads when bleeding.

My front brakes have never been better. Nice and firm.
