one side of the slider block obviously won't fit the old track. you carefully grind it to fit. you also need to unwind the fuzz on the entire cable or it will drag heavily.

no. has to be done in a mill. i would do the whole thing, being it's a 2.7. top end only may pull a stud on reassembly. the case will need the mains honed so the crank turns nicely with new bearings....
