Afterburn,

While I believe the car will run with this piece chipped off, the cost for rectifying this to me is just over $300... so I figured I'd spend the little extra cash to have a perfect set....

So it should seal fine and the outer lip is only to hold the seal in place. With a little piece like that missing all it would do is expose the seal a little.

Worst case I guess a small oil leak...

Got a shop to confirm 964 103 915 22 and 964 103 915 25 Porsche Part numbers correspond to Mahle's part number W0133-1597062.

Also learned that the 993 barrels can be used on the 964... but not...

Are you telling me they are for the 993?

I'm not sure where this comes from... yes she probably runs a little rich....

Just pry the cover off (make sure you have some silicone gasket to close it again), spray the hell out...
