Anyone looked into the Maxilite 17's? I had originally looked at the 15's since they're a great price point and look great, but for now decided to stick with my stock 16's. But I recently saw that...

Yep, no doubt these are worth the cost, or that a similar cost would be had purchasing new from Mike, but $5k is still $5k and unfortunately beyond me at this point in time. Love them but hard to...

105 here in Texas and I take my 930 out all the time and push it hard. No problems from the heat at all and I'm running the stock oil cooler. I'd say get out and drive and not worry about it.

Oh yeah, I saw those. Beautiful wheels. $5k at this time probably (certainly) out of my price range.

Lindsey Racing wheels

So, I reached out to Mike about wheels for my 930 and he just informed me that due to lack of availability of the 16x6 Fuchs for cores (and even if you supply the cores, he doesn't have the capacity...

My only fear is that if I went with the 15's, the 205/50 and 225/50 would look way too small with the Turbo width. I could go with the taller 225/50 and 245/50 but really only Hoosiers available. On...

I'm hesitant to go up to 17"s, it seems as if tire availability is even more limited than 16's. The benefit on the7/8x16's is simply that I've already got them. On my current setup, the 8's in the...

Roger that. I don't think I'll feel the difference simply because I'm coming off of 275/45 on the rear on my 16's, and with an OD of 25.7, any smaller OD will ALL feel like an improvement. The...

Thanks Bill. If I understand you correctly, I'd be sacrificing a little torque with the 16's but would gain some grip (and they're cheaper). Also, 16's might fit the wheel wells better. Doesn't seem...

15" vs 16" tire recommendation

Looking for pros vs cons on the following tire option for my 1987 930 Turbo. I'm looking at the aesthetics and how they fit the fenders well, the cost (same tires so that should be a wash), and...

All OEM parts came from my 1987 930. I've had these things sitting on the shelf for a while and am looking to clean out the garage. Add shipping and PP fees to all items. Also, not opposed to hearing...

Bert, I agree. Although it looks really cool, and in a compound setup could address turbo lag, it's still pretty expensive. Probably not worth it from a pure cost-per-horsepower standpoint, but if...

That extra horsepower and torque comes at a price just below $3k so I don't think it's worth it but dang, that would be a wild ride. Nice thing is that even though it's episodic boost - it takes 10...

Jonathan, that's actually where I came across the Torqamp turbo, the Cleetus McFarland channel. Price aside, it seems like a two stage turbo setup like that would be a lot of fun - the electric turbo...
