Inner turbo tie rod sticktion.

Hey guys, changing out my outer turbo tie rod end today and noticed that when i disconnected it from the knuckle, I have a lot of "sticktion" on the inner part. Is this normal? Takes some effort...

I've done this to several cars now. Plenty of room to go to 10mm and then I use hardend allens bolts. Can tighten the heck out of them...

If the CIS is toast, trash it and get a Pat Williams kit or any other stand alone, there are plenty to choose from now. I used to defend CIS, but after riding in a few turbo CIS to EFI conversions...

In my experience with rebuilt wur's, they are not in spec when you get them, or don't stay in spec long. Put some gages on it and check your rest pressure to.

Do yourself a favor and get a hand throttle from a 75 or earlier car. All that stuff is for warm up and is a major cause of vacuum leaks and poor performance.
