I happen to have mine out of the car. It was rebuilt a few years back with new bushings and the gap is significantly less than yours. Probably not an issue though.

I buy the oil absorb granules and mash it down hard with by foot until its a fine powder then let it sit for a few days. I've used kitty liter also but some work better than others.

If that is fuse #4, start by pulling your left parking lights and check the socket and wiring. If nothing is obvious you need to work back to the fuse panel.

I would start by cleaning all the fuse contacts and replace all fuses with ceramic. I have fixed more than one electrical issue by doing this.

At 177K I would think a top end rebuild including new exhaust studs and valve guides. If you do the work yourself the cost wouldn't be that great but can vary widely depending on what else you find....

When I come to a stop with the AC on the engine stalls. This only happens with the engine cold, problem disappears when car approaches full operating temp. Could this be a faulty decel valve?

Last year removed all fuses, cleaned contacts and tightened all connections. Replaced all plastic bodied fuses with new ceramic ones.

Better yet, time to upgrade the fuse panel to blade style...

Checked both sides of the pressure switch, reading 8.5 volts either way.
