Broken Valve Springs

The Boxster is back on the road again after 2 open heart surgeries in less than a month.

The 2nd time was a broken valve spring on the opposite side of the engine from the original problem.

Mine was running smoothly and just died. Damage was 6 exhaust valves and camshaft after lifter exploded sending debris into the cam train and jamming the exhaust cam.

When setting the timing, when do you remove the pin setting TDC. Is it before or after the second stage of tightening the inlet camshaft.
