My ‘87 3.2 has had 3 broken lower studs for 4 years and 26,000 miles. No oil leaks and it goes strong. I’ll replace the studs at 150,000 miles in another year or two.

I replaced both flywheel sensors and the CHT sensor two years ago in my ‘87 3.2. The wires were crispy and brittle from decades of cat heat. I suggest replacing all three as a matter of course....

Wires

Pretty sure they are for rear wiper. The wiper is fed from the rear fuse box and these wires going to the switch.

The regulator is built into the brush holder between the blue and yellow wires. IIRC.

My oil level gauge was jumping all over the place. I decided to pull the sending unit to check it over and found the ground wire really loose. Tightened ‘er up and works like new.
