My 1971 Targa S developed slop in the steering wheel. This is a fresh restoration, I replaced the lower pushing but the upper was in good condition...I must have disturbed it or the spring wasnt...

Just to close this out, I called Rothsport and I believe it was Jeff who answered on the first ring. He was very helpful and confirmed the white mark in my first pic is TDC.

Thanks. I took the pulley off and when the pin is at the 9:00 position, the white mark on the left in my pic above is in the #1 TDC position.

The pulley itself has no brand or model markings on...
