I have and have had Honda's and thought like you "oh it will run with very little maintenance... Wrong!". The engine blew a head gasket @120k miles and was never the same even after being rebuilt...

i narrowed mine down to a bad coil wire eliminating the possibility of a bad coil, ignition module, distributor cap, plug wires, rotor, dme relay.

Thanks everyone for the schematic and lead on the plug. Hopefully I'll get the engine to start sometime this week. Got the exhaust, oil lines, throttle linkage connected.
