The xdi has 3 coils. I replaced one thinking it had gone bad, now I have a spare. The motor isn’t even warm when it starts missing. The outside temps are in the ‘60’s.
I ordered a new set of plugs...

I had a used set of Magnacor wires off another...

I had a used set of Magnacor wires off another motor, and a used Electromotive xdi from a fellow pelican. The fuel filter and accumulator were new at time of the installation.

An odd miss

This problem is on the 3.3 with cis and xdi ignition. The motor starts and idles fine. After driving about 5 blocks is starts to miss. This has happened twice, at about the same spot. I drive it back...

I was going to go with one on #3 and one on #6...

I was going to go with one on #3 and one on #6 using a Westach dual cht gauge. Did you run the sensor wire up the spark plug wire and through the valve cover plug?

What's the current choice? I was using Swepco 306 20/50, last year I switched to Mobil 1 v-twin 20/50.

I lubed the nuts, used lock tight on the studs....

I lubed the nuts, used lock tight on the studs. No hard boost. Since they are torqueing down, I’m assuming the head studs aren’t pulling out. ARP spec is 38 lbs.

This is my mildly modified 3.3 bus motor. The motor winds out so fast with the 5 speed I've never gotten past 1/2 throttle and .8 boost.
