I'm a little lost w/o my haynes manual. where is the valve? would it be a temp solution to disconnect/reconnect the valve as the season changes until I can figure out the actual problem.

I put the distributor back on, turn the engine over, turned it off, removed distributor and the bolt for the rotor was at 2:00 oclock. a little dumb luck. thanks for your help.
