With a street car do your brake bias setting adjustments on wet roads and leave it. The rears lock up way earlier when wet so you have to leave a safe margin there.

The check valve comes on Bosch fuel pumps when you buy them new. It's not on the inlet side of the pump as mentioned above, it's on the outlet side and the fuel line fits on it with a banjo fitting....

While it's opened up connect 12 volts car battery power to the plug for the heater element wires to see if the bimetallic strip gets hot and bends on it's own and opens the valve disc inside the AAR....
