Bought Durametric

'14 Boxster S

I ran the durametric for the first time and did a short test on all modules and it shows almost everything as fault codes. Mostly communication problems. I did the test with the engine running. Car runs fine only alerts on the dash are "oil over fill", "service due" soon and sometimes the "start stop function" not working.

Should delete and error codes and run the test again?

Here's partial copy and paste of the results

This is a legit Durametric and not a clone? Has the car ever passed diagnostic tests?

I bought the tool from Durametric.
The car is a Carvana purchase.
Car was serviced at Pittsburgh Porsche for the last 6 years last seen 1 year ago, before that it was serviced at a Porsche dealer in Fairfield Ct.
According to carfax.

Garage
I would clear them all and check again after several days of operation.

Clear the codes and see what comes back after several drives.

I don't know if this makes any difference. The air conditioning controls were sticky from spilt coffee or mocha, had to remove the PCM and air controls to clean it. All went back together and works fine.

I cleared the codes and will recheck after driving a bit.

Plugged it into the '14 Cayman and it showed a few faults, one of the head lights, e brake, radio maybe 1 or 2 more, I see no problem with any of that so I just cleared them.

I'm operating the software with the engine running to keep from weakening the battery. When using some commands like tool information and resetting the service reminder the computer can run very slow and freeze. The service reminder would not reset with 2 tries, I ran these commands with the ignition on engine off and they responded fast and no freezing.

If using the software with the engine off should a battery charger be used? I've seen that recommendation for a VW cable from ross-tech.

You should always use it with the ignition on, engine off. If you are going to be using it for a bit, yes, I'd hook up a battery charger to it. If its just to reset the maintenance, I likely would not.
