1966 912 brake caliper upgrades
1966 912 brake caliper upgrades - I think I want to at least think about upgrading my 66-68 front 912 calipers or just get new. What’s everyone’s options of stock or are there any Wilwood type upgrades? Also, what pads are suggested? Just a street driver, no heavy use intended. If anyone has any new or rebuilt ones I’d consider buying yours

As designed, these brakes are great. If intended for road use, the only suggestion would be to replace the master cyl for a later (68) dual unit. Other than that just bringing the whole system up to spec will give you all the braking you’ll need. And remember that, as produced by Porsche, “road use” included daily 100mph sprints on the then-open autobahn.
Good luck, Bill |
