bad idea Nnick if you want 180 on a 5" rim you need the 50 profile
180x55 will pullin too far at the sides and give you a difficult profile and not turn in good
it will fit yes but not perform well.

Question

Nic,
.
Think of it this way...the 170 is well suited for the 5.5" rim. A few members have this combo 'n like it.
If I had a 5.5" rim, my first tire on it would be a 170, no question.
.
Good luck.

...to clarify, I'd not do it. Suit yourself.
Good luck.

Ok, well... I think it would be best to stay with the 70.. I'm all for performance. It means I will have to swap out the rears on my own, but that's gravey to me. I did it the last time no problem.. I just do have confidence for the other stuff (yet). Ok all thankx for the input.

Sorry I've been hidden these past few moons.... My wife bought a Honda Civic and my passion for Tuning is stating to take over again. I already have a turbo and am working on a custom system. Hey, if I had a few tho'w hang'n around I would by a turbo for the S.

Side note... Any one know the best way to rich'n the fuel mixture? The motor is knocking and I want to prevent that... plus it just sounds bad when someone gives me a compliment on how nice my bike is and when I drive off I sound like a ghetto crown vic running on 3 cylinders. Let me know what you have come across... remember I'm young creative and have very little pocket change to spend. One guy told me to get a ECU from a Canada model.. eh? but I wouldn't know were to look.. yeah, sure.. you betch!
