He posted the other day. IIRC, a friends father passed away and they are preparing to sell the stuff and they are aware of the worth, so it wont' be sold for pennies on the dollar.

Correct Steve, and his father was an IMSA mechanic, who also had quite a shop in South FL.

Too bad they let the stuff go to $hit.
I guess a good cleaning could help.

Wow... to bad about the father .

How is this stuff going to be sold? I could use some of the parts for spares etc for my cars.

Hurricane damaged the roof (repaired now) and that is how it went to poop, the gentlemans health was already poor
You should see how rough the 74 RSR tub is and the 55 Gullwing Benz chassis

I'm sorry to hear for the family, especially about the father. Didn't mean to sound concerned only about the parts.
Best wishes to the family,

Doug

Understood Doug, there are some very neat bits hidden away in there.

Not yet, but it is pictured in a MB book, we will be going over this week, there is also a 1957 300D, and an 1982 Euro 500 AMG tuned (very fast) The Gull wing, is just a mechanical chassis, all running gear & susp, but no body or int, yes, it was a race car

Van, your car looks very nice, I didn't say that in my note back to you, just wanted to let you know.

man all that stuff and I can't imagine the task of getting rid of it, guess my family might have to do that one day as I am a pack rat. The one yellow 911 has a wierd flare on the back or is it the angle of the photo?

Wow, that's quite the motherload of parts! I'm envious of whomever gets to poke through there and sort it all out.
I remember buying essentially an entire garage of VW beetle parts 20 years ago for $200 and three day's work cleaning it all out. Same deal, estate of the deceased. Looks like he had the used parts bug real bad. My condolences to the family and good luck to the bidders. Hope they fetch a good price.

That is a 71, not rust, clean title, glass rear flares, steel front. The fuchs are deep 6s and for sale seperately, as is the engine. The tub is for sale as a bare roller, bring wheels. Would be a good ST project, but as my sig suggest, I have enough
