WOW - Saw a 959 Prototype today, pics coming soon!
Chassis #8, no drivetrain or suspension. I may purchase it, but not sure for what, or why. It would match very well with that wrecked one in Japan. Chassis #00008. Very, very cool, you don't see stuff like this every day.
Pics coming soon! -Wayne

Any way you can get hold of whoever bought the 959 in Japan? Paul.

"not sure for what, or why."
You don't really have to ask yourself that question. But just in case you still have a remnant of sanity left... they are critically needed for the Pelican Porsche Museum (PPM) a non-profit that serves the public by preserving Porsche cars and parts, and incidentally serves as a massive tax write-off for Pelican Parts... |

Very, very cool car. Did the factory put all of those miles on it?

I love it -- that one pic showing the dash gauge with the emoticon 959s in profile is as indecipherable as the fresh air controls on a 911. What does that center-left one mean, if you're driving on the Atlantic Ocean ... ?

Brian, the factory thought that would be easier to understand for US buyers than the original german label for that setting - gezckewjxciewgrieggenschaaattzzz.

Too funny. If you look at that bottom one, it almost appears like there's a portion of the McDonald's golden arches logo hovering over the hood. Like, "When you're hungry ... "

Methinks someone has too much free time on their hands. Since this is what you really want to hear, I'll go ahead and say it: You should buy up every semi-reasonably priced 959 chassis you can get your hands on, both for your car and for sale because of the ever increasing cost of parts. They'll call you "Mr. 959."

Get it for the speedometer! Can you imagine your non- car guy (or girl) passengers seeing that needle arcing up and past 180 -200 range?

Seems pretty clear...I'll bet they represent configuring the suspension for rain, snow, bumpy terrain and (the bottom one) lowering the whole car.
