Can I stick a pressure washer wand in here?
Also, does anyone know where to find new rubber boots for the alternator connectors? Thanks,

![]() I used some SimpleGreen and a couple of rags to clean my Thermo leak. Not sure about a pressure washer though. |

I would use a shop vac and scraper first. The idea is to get the stuff out of there, not to drive it into the crevices.
It's best to keep simple green away from Al -- or so says the USAF. |

Crachian,
That stuff has to come out. Randy is right on. Looks like it is blocking head cooling fins on the left. Ultimately the source of that Goo must be found and fixed. Could this be dust mixing with oil mist? Dirt roads? Don't sweat the rubber boots. Disconnect the battery before removing the alternator. Good Luck and let us know what you end up doing.

Try your local aviation store. If this doesn't work send me the dimensions and I see what I can find.
