Finally! Got her polished up for the summer.

Well there'll be a few washings and waxes but it's nice to see it shining after a LONG winters nap...

Looking good

Bill,

Great to see the car out. I am glad to see Michigan is finally nice. I will be back to Grand Haven visiting some family Memorial day weekend. Maybe even a boat ride.

She looks very clean.

Are those original rims...or did you get them re-chromed...

Very nice clean up...I love black and the shiny look they provide...

Bill, Great looking car.
Question: What do you use on the lips of your wheels?

That would be my guess too...TDWs or Lindseys...17s looks like...Bill do you use Mother's to polish the wheels?...That's what I've been using on my TDWs with good old "elbow grease", but am thinking of trying the power ball polisher..

911nut - Sure Saturday morning I might be able to meet ya. Pick a place kinda in the middle and a time and I'll see if I can swing it. You can PM me if you want.

vascott01 - Chroming fuchs is never a good idea. Polished is the way to go.

MikeD94 - Nope, never had to use a clay bar on it. It's always been very smooooth. Thanks, that's what four years in the service will do to ya...

To answer BIG question.. They are Lindsey 9 & 11 X17.

Jakester1168 - Yup, I use Mother's and elbow grease. Let me know how the power ball works out for you. I'd be interested in one of those too. It seems like I had one a few years ago but for some reason I don't use it anymore. But I can't remember.

I sold my 16'' Fuchs, but your 17'' Fuchs make me want to try them. The car and wheels look great!

I'll keep you posted on the power ball polisher...it "looks" a lot easier and quicker, but will have to see how good it works...I'm doing a DE at the end of the month so I won't be polishing them until afterwards...I'm running TDW 8 and 9 1/2 x 17...I particularly enjoy getting the mother's paste under my nails...my girl loves the look...

If you had the 6X16 you could have sent them to Lindsey and had them make you a set of 17s. I think it's worth it.

The more I think about it, I have used one before. I swear I have one but I can't find it. I'm going to look for it again. Of course this should tell us both something that I can't remember using it or even finding it.

I've been running and have been happy with the Sumitomos and they are 315 on the rear and 245 on the front. To put it in perspective the OEM rear size is basically the front tire now.
