Question Just got the boxter rims Before/After

Two of the rims arrived today UPS. They need a little work but bolted right on no problem.

Ride height is unchanged. They do not, however, fill out the wheel wells.

I will need spacers for that right?
BEFORE

AFTER

I like the look...takes some getting used to though.

Any other reason that spacers are needed except for the look?

I think so too. The steering (no power) is much easier to turn with the 6" up front.

Interestingly enough the tire tread width was almost identical.

Ask and ye shall recieve....

These are 1999 boxter 16"
I posted the pn's last week

They need some work...which I can do ....but at that price! In any condition they look way better than my cookies. I like cookies but they need refinishing/painting BAD.

am I sick? I love that old school deep dish look. I am saddened that my '44 is an '88 and I can not partake of the Fuchs or cookie cutter goodness. I dream of extra wide, zero offset BBS phatness.

No sickness. I am keeping mine, painting them white to match, and when I can afford it.....245's rear 225's front. There is something about them.......

They are also very, very, light....even with the big rubber.

Not at all, the 16" Fuchs on my car were a major deciding factor in buying it....

Call me old school, but phone dials are the coolest wheels EVER. Part of the requirments for my car was that it came with phone dials. Now if I could get em in 16 or 17..and a whole lot lighter (ie, today's tech.) we'd really have something..

I hate to thread jack, but since we're talking wheels and you mentioned a price...The PO has a set of 4 phone dials in great shape with brand spankin new track-only race rubber. I reckon they were for the upcoming season, but they moved and she sold me the car and she knows I want to race it. Is $400 too much?

Sorry man:-/

I have the same rims

I have the same Boxster rims I got on ebay for like $500. Unfortunately, the guy who sold it to me did not have the center caps. They are in decent shape however. Since my car is a late offset, the wheels fill out the space like the original did. I had to use 3/4 spacers in front otherwise the front wheels would hit against the dust cap. So basically, even with a 6 inch wide rims, its pushed out a little and they dont look too bad.

Since you have an early offset car, these rims would sink into your wheel wells. You definitely need some spacers to push those rims out.

Very nice.

I think I am going to run stock rear spacers and lugs on the front (did you follow that) and buy some hubcentric 1.5 inch for the rear. That should fill it out.

Anyone got some old stock spacers laying around?
