It's SOLD!

CAR IS SOLD . . . . Lots of inquiries - one person stepped up to the plate and requested a PPI and Leakdown. Results . . . . Car Sold.

As a side note- The purchaser and I worked on the honor system - he asked for and pre-paid for the PPI and the leakdown. As per our VERBAL agreement, he had first crack at purchasing the car. I was disappointed at how many Pelicans tried to wiggle in between a deal on the premise that you would pay full-price if the inspection report, paid for by someone else, didn't reveal any major issues.

IMHO- I suggest, that if you are interested in a car, you pursue it without trying to ride someone elses coat-tails (or perhaps split the cost of a PPI with another prospective purchaser).

I applaud every pelican's desire to save money and minimize out of pocket expense but asking ME to slip you a copy of the inspection report is down-right dirty! If the inspection report had yielded a negative the purchaser wouldn't have purchased it, alternatively it didn't and he did purchase it.

I'm just bothered at the fact that some of you attempted to gain purchasing advantage at the expense of the one person who actually put out some cash to make an informed decision.

While I've had a few opportunities to do business with other pelicans and its been a great experience - I was left with a sour taste in my mouth about the vulture attitude of some who contacted me. Including the guy who called and suggested the car was worth no more than $10k - even though he hadn't seen or inspected the car!
