what's the widest tires you've seen on a '44 without having to roll your fenders?

I guess that depends on the year.. Early cars
245/50/15's..........  These are the widest tires rated for this rim in this brand only. Dunlop sport8000's. Photo from 1.2G's These will sit on the rear of my car with painted rims  On the front I am going with 225's.
